Since the beginning, it has annoyed me that I will spend on this time and effort travelling across every province and territory.   Except Nunavut, which I can't get into by road.  A chance conversation with a sales rep in a motorcycle store brought us around to this and he said he had family in Nunavut and he's pretty sure they would be open to hosting me if I could get myself in there, and maybe even arrange for a dirt bike or something to explore with for a day or two!   I warned him that I would take him up on that and have begun taking another look at getting to Nunavut by plane and toodling around a bit.  Decided even if his familly wants nothing to do with me, I'm probably going to do it anyway. I feel a little surge of excitement at being able to complete this adventure fully!

The sudden death of my sister in a fatal car accident on February 14, 2018 has left a big hole in my heart.  She was very excited about this adventure I am going on and we had many long talks about where to go and what I might see and the people I will meet.  We had conversations about how the media in general and social media, in particular, is so full of negativity and divisiveness.  One of the things I look forward to most on this journey is discovering that in most cases, if you take the politics, religion and geography out of conversations, people are just people.   I am so dreadfully disappointed that she will not be able to follow me for the portion of our trip we had planned, but will certainly take her along in my heart.
