Fury and I got out for a bit of bonding time today. It has been awhile, with a back injury keeping me home for a few weeks and then some nasty weather that does not encourage riding unless you have to. Temperatures are cool, but the rain let up and the sun peeked out now and then. We were rewarded with a most beautiful rainbow and some striking cloud images with the sun pushing its way through to be seen. So great to get out and feel that connection again!

My two missing maps arrived today!! Love having the whole province to see quickly and easily what the routes are and if they are paved or not. Then use google maps to get distances and current road info. Old school meets new school - both have their place!
The currently planned route will take me through different parts of BC at different times. The first part displayed on the map here will take me to Prince Rupert where I am considering the option of taking the ferry to Skagway, AK. Heard it's a beautiful ferry ride and will provide an opportunity for a couple of days of rest. Then from Skagway on to Whitehorse and Dawson City. Coming back out of Whitehorse to Alberta will bring me back through some northern BC territory that I want to see. |
