Mar, 2016 - Gold River, BC
I travelled from Victoria to Campbell River via Hwy 19/19A. Stayed overnight at the Anchor Inn and Suites before travelling to Gold River the next day. The Anchor Inn was a nice hotel - reasonably priced, (though I was there off-season), quiet and had a decent restaurant.
The ride to Gold River was stunning - beautiful scenery all the way. Expect any cell/GPS service to get sketchy around the junction of Hwy 28 and Westmin Rd and to lose it completely at the town of Gold River. Nice little town - everyone is friendly and no strangers to motorcyclists travelling the road.
I wished I had another day to ride all the way down Westmin Road along the shore of Buttle Lake. Next time. . . . . .
